Controlled Contamination Services LLC Software Systems Engineer in Addison, Texas

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Software Systems Engineer role offers a unique opportunity to work across all IT functions within the company, providing comprehensive support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of IT systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with IT and business partners.

This position will work a hybrid work schedule with several days in our Addison, Texas office as well as remote work.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

M365 Administration:

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Apps, and security/compliance features.

  • Implement and enforce M365 security policies and ensure proper configuration of user accounts, mailboxes, and licenses.

  • Stay up to date with the latest M365 features, changes, updates, roadmaps, and releases and evaluate their applicability to the organization.

  • Provide user training and support for M365 tools and services.

    Networking:

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.

  • Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.

  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to maintain reliable network connectivity.

    Application Support:

  • Provide technical support and administration for CRM (Customer Relationship Management), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, and ancillary applications.

  • Assist with system configuration, data migration, and integration with other business systems.

  • Troubleshoot issues related to CRM and ERP functionalities and coordinate with vendors for resolution.

  • Support user setup, configuration, and administration of applications.

    API Support:

  • Manage and support API integrations between various business systems and third-party applications.

  • Monitor API performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.

  • Work with development teams to implement new API integrations and enhancements.

    Help Desk Support:

  • Provide first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.

  • Document and track support tickets, escalate complex issues to higher-level support, and follow up to ensure resolution.

  • Install, configure, and update software applications. Ensure software licenses are up-to-date and compliant.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

  • 3+ years of experience in M365 administration.

  • 3+ years of experience in network administration and support.

  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP).

  • Experience with API support and integration.

  • Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role.

  • Must have a high level of attention to detail and excellent time management skills.

  • Certifications such as MCSA, CCNA, ITIL, or similar are preferred.

    SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and administration. Experience with Power Apps including Automate, Flow, and BI.

  • Proficiency in networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.

  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining software systems using modern programming languages and technologies.

  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical system requirements.

  • Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce preferred) and ERP (Acumatica preferred) systems and their integration with other business tools.

  • Understanding of API architecture, RESTful services, and data exchange formats like JSON and XML.

  • Programming / scripting skills using PowerShell scripting for Office 365 automation and administration.

  • Familiarity with cloud-services (AWS, Azure).

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
