The Fleet Department at Moss Utilities plays a pivotal role in supporting these efforts. As a direct service provider to the Operations Team, we ensure that all company-owned and rental equipment and vehicles are in optimal, operable condition daily. This enables us to efficiently meet project demands and maintain our reputation for reliability and service excellence. Responsibilities
Assist in the maintenance and repair of various fleet vehicles and construction equipment.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to uphold our high standards of operation.
Manage and organize equipment parts and inventory.
Assist with inventory management, including tracking parts and supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop environment.
Support experienced technicians with mechanical repairs and diagnostics.
Document maintenance operations and adhere to safety protocols.
Engage in on-the-job training opportunities to advance mechanical skills.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A valid driver’s license is preferred.
Knowledge of vehicle repair.
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to use power and hand tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read service and repair manuals.
Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
