PRN Charge Nurse - Medical Surgical

Work hours : PRN (as needed) Days

Medical Surgical Department Highlights :

· 23-bed unit.

· Cases include multiple acute chronic diseases such as Sepsis, Pneumonia, COPD and Diabetes.

· Department focuses on improving the quality of care for patients undergoing general surgeries such as Knees, Joint Replacement and Pulmonary.

What you need:

  • Associate's Degree Nursing required, Nursing Diploma

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

  • Other- CLIAFE must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required

  • 1 year experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting required

  • 2 years’ experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred

  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required And

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required And

  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 days required And

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support charge only 90 days required

· The Charge Nurse role will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team.

· This role directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
