Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Property Accountant in Dallas, Texas. This role involves full cycle financial statement preparation and review, treasury management, and collaboration with various teams. It is a key function within our industry and requires a highly organized individual with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of full cycle financial statements

• Manage treasury functions including bank reconciliation and cash flow management

• Facilitate year-end tax returns and K1 distribution with CPA firm

• Review accounts payable and receivables for a portfolio including cash management

• Prepare weekly AP check run and process other payables as necessary

• Conduct annual review of budgets and prepare tax packages

• Communicate with property owners about cash flow, financial activity, and asset valuations

• Collaborate with leadership on development properties

• Work with the Property Management team to resolve tenant ledger and vendor payment issues

• Carry out yearly CAM reconciliation

• Handle construction draw requests

Skills required include CAM Reconciliation, Yardi, Commercial Real Estate, Month End Close, and Journal Entries.

Requirements • Must possess strong skills in CAM Reconciliation.

• Proficiency in using Yardi software is required.

• Must have knowledge in Commercial Real Estate.

• Experience in Month End Close processes is essential.

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries is required.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Property Accounting.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.

• Certification as a CPA is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with financial reporting and taxation in the real estate industry.
