Cartamundi Production Supervisor, 2nd Shift in Dallas, Texas

The Printing Production Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day leadership and operations of assigned production areas. This position focuses on understanding and closely managing / analyzing our printing mechanical equipment and its daily workflows, in order to ultimately improve our process. This includes constant monitoring of performance, across all functions of the production process.
NOTE: This is a 2nd shift position, working hours of 3pm - 11pm.
What our Printing Production (Mechanical Equipment) Supervisor (2nd shift), will do:
Continuously observe, and manage production mechanical equipment, to ensure workflow within batches are running efficiently, meeting high volume work orders
Manage all productivity needs, orders, maintenance and productivity, via our production management software, to ensure efficient workflows and product outputs.
Review production operating reports, providing reports to management on corrective action plans, contingencies, and countermeasures to optimize performance
Provide frequent suggestions towards process improvement, reduction in waste, time, and ultimately improving production performance time.
Provide timely constructive feedback to direct reports and project teams to ensure output is in accordance with expectations
Maintain positive, collaborative relationships with direct reports and project teams to promote a high level of commitment and engagement
Supervise the development of talent of direct reports to ensure proper pipeline of skilled talent for relevant current and future needs
Support the alignment of jobs, activities, tasks, and objectives with broader organizational mission, vision, values and goals of the department
Encourage and provide an upward path to management team innovative ideas and support projects that drive operational excellence
Remain current in manufacturing technologies that support sustainability and a competitive edge for overall organizational health and growth
Lead by example, displaying day to day leadership behavior that builds a collaborative, positive culture in support of organizational health and growth
Develop and maintain effective functional and cross-functional relationships with internal and external customers and business partners

We’re Looking for a Printing Production (Mechanical Equipment) Supervisor (2nd shift) with the following experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or Management -or- associate degree - or- Technical Training Certification plus 5+ Years supervisor experience
Leadership experience in a similar facility may be considered in lieu of a 4-year degree
Manufacturing experience, at a supervisor level, dedicated to overseeing mechanical production equipment, ensuring optimization of the equipment and teams, towards efficient processes.
Five (5) years in a direct supervisory role, with the qualifications / experience as noted above.
Experience managing and producing process improvement strategies towards improving production time, reducing waste, and increasing performance
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain cross functional, collaborative teams, through the application of lean manufacturing principles
Demonstrated knowledge of problem-solving techniques/strategies, and training others in those techniques
Successful experience managing projects
Experience reporting on all areas production operations (turnaround time, productivity time, parts, staffing, etc).
Experience with large format press machine / offset printing is a nice plus
Six Sigma / Kaizen experience is a plus
Competent Computer Skills: MS Office, MRP/ERP
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:
Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues
Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
Perform sedentary work on various computer systems
This position is located on-site in our Dallas facility
