AT&T Product Technology Manager - Performance Marketing in Dallas, Texas

Job Description:

At AT&T, we’re connecting customers to greater possibilities with the latest mobility and internet products. We have an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise to a team that’s driving transformation with next-generation marketing technology solutions. This is a great opening to join a Fortune 10 company where you’ll have a direct impact on how AT&T reaches and engages consumers through digital marketing touchpoints and journeys.

As a Product Technology Manager, you’ll play a critical role in the integration of new platforms and data sources into our marketing and advertising ecosystem while ensuring seamless interoperability. This is a versatile role where you’re comfortable being hands-on-keyboard, writing code and doing deep troubleshooting, but are equally comfortable surfacing up opportunities and socializing them widely.

This role reports into the Marketing & Growth Organization (MGO), but will be a key partner and resource for architecture, ecommerce, privacy, media, marketing, analytics and developer teams, as well as outside agencies. The ideal candidate has a passion for technology and automation, a sense of ownership and pride in the creation of efficiencies, and a thorough understanding of digital marketing and customer lifecycle tactics.

The role will be fulltime in office.

Core Responsibilities & Contributions:

  • Fuel audience targeting tactics (across consumer and business) and enable the highest reach possible via data sources (1P and 3P), identity resolution matching, and syndication options – DMP, CDP, tags, server-side signals, and direct sourcing from data tables (Snowflake, Palantir).

  • Facilitate data sourcing and integrity of online signals for other lifecycle touches via email, SMS, and programmatic direct mail – requires coordination of numerous internal and external processes, audits of large data sets, plus a deep understanding of online buy-flows and opt-in consent requirements.

  • Prepare tags and tracking enhancements for campaign implementation teams, ensuring tracking codes are set up for multivariate testing as well as advanced measurement techniques such as multi-touch attribution.

  • Run weekly meetings between marketing stakeholders and developer teams to translate requirements and proactively identify/solve dependencies so releases stay on track and the business continues to optimize at a rapid pace.

  • Maintain knowledge of how all marketing and technology systems work together to ensure a clean and smooth flow of data for targeting and personalization cases.

  • Drive transparency and shared learnings, not only with AT&T operated platforms, but also with platforms managed by external agencies – ad servers, DSPs, ESPs, and media publisher platforms.

  • Stay current with key adtech and martech trends - buying and bidding signals, cookie deprecation, AI, privacy legislation - and formulate recommendations on how tech stacks and current processes need to adapt.

Qualifications:

  • Combined 5+ years of experience within marketing technology and/or campaign/ad operations – must have familiarity with targeting/activation/attribution across paid media and websites.

  • Understanding of digital campaign processes including trafficking through an ad server, creating/ingesting URL parameters, and applying taxonomy through DMPs, DSPs, and multiple ad accounts.

  • Experience with tag management systems and the ability to create custom Javascript installations.

  • Data management/governance skills including SQL and advanced Excel– data engineering/automation via scripting languages (Python or R) a plus.

  • Strong familiarity with data and technology offerings from at least one of the following: Neustar, TransUnion, Google, Invoca, Tealium, ActionIQ, and/or Adobe.

  • Excellent communication and project management skills with knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies – comfortable navigating ambiguity and juggling competing priorities.
