Robert Half Paralegal in Dallas, Texas
Description We are seeking a skilled Paralegal to join our team, focusing on personal injury litigation. Operating from our office in Dallas, Texas, the selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, ranging from legal research and document review to case management and court filings.
Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and gather pertinent information from various sources such as medical records and accident reports.
• Prepare and manage the drafting, review, and filing of important legal documents which include but are not limited to petitions, motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Handle the management of court calendars, case timelines, and deadlines, ensuring total compliance with court rules and filing prerequisites.
• Coordinate the preparation of trial exhibits, trial binders, and other materials necessary for trial preparation.
• Undertake the responsibility of court filings, with a focus on electronic filing through systems like eFileTexas and PACER.
• Establish and maintain communication with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel to gather information and manage case details.
• Conduct thorough investigations, which may involve witness interviews and fact gathering.
• Assist in the organization of depositions, mediations, and trial logistics.
• Provide administrative and case management support to attorneys throughout the litigation process. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Paralegal role
• Proficiency in Aderant software
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat
• Knowledge of Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)
• Familiarity with Case Management Software
• Must have experience in CompuLaw
• Ability to handle Billing Functions
• Experience in Briefing
• Proven skills in Calendar Management
• Experience in Claim Administration
• Strong Communication skills
• Proficiency in Trial Preparation
• Experience in Personal Injury Plaintiffs
• Knowledge of Personal Injury Litigation
