AT&T Manager of Asset Strategy & Production in Dallas, Texas
This role involves partnering with teams across the company to establish the strategy and management of the company’s core brand design assets including but not limited to photography, audio, and iconography. This is a cross-functional role that also includes asset management and maintenance, vendor management and project management. The role involves participating in strategy development, on-boarding of agency partners, contracting, partner management, participation in the asset selection/creation & refinement process, asset organization and tracking, caring for the brand asset lifecycle for each asset to ensure contractual and legal obligations are met, auditing asset usage, and working with the AT&T Brand Center Team to establish a smooth process for managing all asset types on the AT&T Brand Center platform.
Partner across Brand team for vendor onboarding and management, inclusive of prioritization, budget, kickoffs, approval, etc.
Collaborate with internal teams to select suppliers, review and manage scopes of work documents, and manage milestones & budgets related to asset development, licensing, etc.
Manage and renegotiate usage rights and licensing fees
Communicate industry trends and insights on production techniques, multimedia trends, vendor capabilities
Analyze brand asset usage, identifying trends and emerging company needs
Receive and review new asset requests, make recommendations, manage retrieval and delivery and consult on alternative solutions
Conduct gap analysis of branded assets (photography, video, icons, music, illustrations, etc.) and develop strategy for sourcing additional asset development. Serve as internal expert who consults on brand asset needs/usage/etc..
Research and identify best supplier(s) in order to match specific project needs based on skillset, pricing, speed of delivery, etc... Ensure portfolio of suppliers across all Brand disciplines is diverse, current, high-quality, and quick to market.
Communicate standards for asset ingestion to supplier(s) to ensure seamless migration to Brand Center tool
Partner with the Brand Center team to develop process and effectively manage archival and/or removal of outdated and/or expired assets.
Ensure quality of assets prior to handoff to Brand Center, make strategic recommendations for asset placement.
Understand, communicate, document usage/licensing/rights requirements and manage asset lifecycle.
Undergraduate degree preferred
5-7 Years’ experience as Advertising Producer, Art Buyer or similarly relevant function
Expertise crafting and negotiating licensing agreements, talent contracts, and rights-management in the advertising, film, and music industries
Experience within a creative agency is a must and in-house/corporate experience is a plus
Thorough understanding of the multimedia and graphic arts industry
Must have experience working directly with Designers, Copywriters, Creative Directors, Project Managers, Advertising professionals, Marketers and Production Teams
Ability to design/extend cataloging taxonomy and define content policies
In-depth knowledge of file formats (print, digital, video) and media rights usage
Experience working with DAM systems (Adobe experience is a plus)
Understanding of asset storage (i.e., fonts, photography, icons, logos, images, source files related to desktop publishing files)
General knowledge of photography, illustration, iconography, audio, and video software
Good general knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Comfortable using both Mac and PC platforms
Exceptional organizational skills with ability to prioritize, work with competing deadlines, and adapt to changing business environment
Ability to work effectively with all levels and functional areas
Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal partners and vendors
Strong negotiation and influence skill
