What you'll do

  • Lead a team of investigators by serving as a trainer, mentor, and advisor on harassment, discrimination, and other complex HR investigations to ensure development of capabilities and adherence to best practices

  • Supervise investigators toward the goal of conducting fair, consistent, and timely internal investigations; serve as advisor on planning, strategy, and approach for difficult investigations; conduct substantive reviews to quality check investigatory work product

  • Lead new space for strategy, design, and delivery within our Global People Partners, connecting insights to action for the overall work environment through analyzed data trends

  • Leverage HR expertise to manage project deliverables across workstreams with thoughtful, proactive planning, effective communication and collaboration, innovation and follow up

  • Support investigations process and provide recommendations with care and accountability

  • Constantly seek to improve and make things better – partner with various groups to leverage quantitative/qualitative insights, assess and measure, identify gaps and drive solutions

  • Develop relationships with Labor, Legal, and our People Business Partners

  • Partner with our Diversity Equity and Inclusion team, as well as Learning and Development to enhance trainings for team members when it comes to key learnings and updates

  • Collaborates with other HR leaders to improve employee relations processes and support other efforts that may impact employee relations

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational behavior, or related field

  • 5 Years of relevant work experience in Human Resources, Employment Law, Compliance and/or Investigations

  • 3-5 years supervisory / management experience or equivalent

  • Familiar with state and federal employment laws including but not limited to: FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience

  • MBA or master’s degree in human resources or related field

  • Experience in HR, serving as a strategic business partner and driving critical employee relations/ethics/compliance functions such as investigations

  • Proven ability to bring HR expertise to effectively facilitate large group discussion with capability and confidence.

  • Previous aviation experience

  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)

  • Experience working globally

  • Investigative/interview certification through a national or internationally recognized organization

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including facilitation/presentation skills; ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language

  • Strategic and critical thinking skills; ability to see the big picture and implore strong judgment, decisiveness, and diplomacy skill

  • Proven ability to maintain highly confidential information
