What you'll do

  • Lead the planning of video storytelling.

  • Develop video creative briefs and execute on the agreed upon approach to deliver quality video that meets the marketing and communication goals.

  • Provide technical expertise for video production, audio recommendations, and lighting.

  • Assist in managing the studio's video production equipment, ensuring effective utilization and maintenance.

  • Participate in the development of contingency plans for technical issues for live stream and studio endeavors.

  • Drive the post-production edits to deliver innovative video experiences.

  • Collaborate on some interactive elements for studio show production.

  • Write engaging scripts for videos that inform our audience.

  • Direct, shoot and produce video shoots, fostering a creative environment.

  • Ensure contract labor is scheduled and be accountable for their performance when engaged in a project.

  • Collaborate with the creative team on studio set design.

  • Assist in creating and managing budgets for video productions.

  • Monitor equipment and personnel expenses for video shoots.

  • Ensure videos meet the highest visual and auditory quality standards, brand adherence, and professionalism.

  • Always be looking for new technology we can bring to the table to create exciting ways to engage our team members and keep content experiences fresh.

  • Provide strategic recommendations on new and exciting ways to drive video content engagement and help to innovate our approach to video production.

  • Help lead production technical research; translate findings into functional improvements.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop elevated production experiences that incorporate best practices that align with business and design goals.

  • Champion American’s internal visual design and brand standards.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in film, cinema studies, broadcast, or relevant field, equivalent experience, or training

  • 5-8 years’ experience in video production / broadcast experience

  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro

  • Technical proficiency with our studio equipment – Ross Carbonite, Ross XPressions, Avid Ingest, Autoscript, Panasonic Varicam / PTZ camera systems, Litepanel, Chamsys, Letrosonic, Sanken, Allen & Heath.

  • Technical proficiency in video production equipment operation.

  • Strong visual design skills including motion graphics, video, screen layouts, information design, and typography.

  • Proven experience in managing video productions, including content capture, post-edit and delivery.

  • Expertise in copy / script writing preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Implement and oversee a comprehensive quality control process for all produced content.

  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, ensuring smooth collaboration and timely service delivery.

  • Ability to collaborate with the creative team to coordinate video production projects from initial design concepts to implementation.

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, Agile based, iterative environment.

  • Portfolio of work that demonstrates required skills and detailed attention to video production, set design, motion and graphic elements.
