The Operational Efficiency is at the epicenter of driving an operational excellence (OE) culture through transformation efforts across AT&T Inc operating companies. Leaders joining the organization have a passion for thinking strategically, executing tactically, collaborating broadly using data, analytics and OE capabilities to improve AT&T’s culture, customer journey and cost structure. The Mass Markets OE team is responsible for executing on, ensuring executive visibility and agreement toward, and growing a $3B cost transformation portfolio.
The Lead Business Strategy is responsible for leading, implementing and providing analysis, research and solution development to aid leadership in setting the strategy for new business opportunities, initiatives, and in choosing the right expansion areas.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Demonstrates in depth knowledge of the economics of business and thorough understanding of the income statement and balance sheet. Utilizes research skills and evaluates competitive and industry dynamics. Leverages standard strategy frameworks and applies both financial and strategic analysis. Identifies growth opportunities, business model innovation, leverages strong financial analysis and modeling skills, and facilitates cross-business unit initiatives. Participates in the negotiations of principal terms and conditions of transactions. Distills core components of complex problems into succinct and easily understood set of conclusions. Develops presentation materials for internal approval from senior leadership. Demonstrates a strong skillset in presenting hypotheses, conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership. Job Contribution: Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of market trends and financial situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Provides leadership in the team environment and can work independently with analysis and research projects.
Education: A bachelors degree is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in strategy and/or finance
