Robert Half Insurance Defense Paralegal in Dallas, Texas
Description We are on the lookout for an Insurance Defense Paralegal to be a part of our team in the Legal industry situated in DALLAS, Texas, 75202, United States. The primary role consists of handling customer inquiries, maintaining customer records, processing customer applications, and monitoring customer accounts for necessary action.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications.
• Keep customer credit records up-to-date and accurate.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide appropriate solutions.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on the account status.
• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters, from inception to resolution.
• Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files.
• Prepare, update, and manage case chronologies and timelines.
• Draft, edit, and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and correspondence.
• Assist with all aspects of the discovery process, including the organization and production of documents.
• Conduct legal and factual research using legal research tools and public records.
• Organize and prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness files.
• Assist with witness coordination and trial logistics.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel as needed.
• Collaborate with attorneys to ensure timely and effective case management.
• Coordinate with court personnel to schedule hearings, depositions, and trials. Requirements • Proficiency in using Aderant, a comprehensive legal software solution.
• Ability to use Adobe Acrobat effectively for document management.
• Familiarity with the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for real estate transactions.
• Experience with Case Management Software to handle legal cases efficiently.
• Knowledge of CompuLaw for managing risk and reducing malpractice exposure.
• Proficient in handling Billing Functions, ensuring accurate invoicing and financial management.
• Skilled in Briefing, with the ability to summarize case facts and legal precedents.
• Proficiency in Calendar Management, scheduling and tracking all case-related events and deadlines.
• Experience in Claim Administration, overseeing insurance claim processes from start to finish.
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear and effective interaction with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
