Job Description:
The Institutional Assessment Specialist assists with managing and analyzing data within the Office of Institutional Success and Decision Support ( OISDS ). This position will report to the Director of Administrative Assessment and Academic Support Assessment.
The OISDS unit reports to the Associate Vice President for Institutional Success and Decision Support ( AVPISDS ), who also serves as the institutional liaison to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges ( SACSCOC ) and to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board ( THECB ).
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS degree + 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in a related field.
One to three years of familiarity with degree program and non-academic assessment, as well as innovations in assessment in higher education.
Two to four years’ experience in data cleaning and analysis, including experience analyzing survey data.
Experience with educational research, and research design.
Experience with qualitative research and qualitative data analysis techniques.
Experience with dashboards and data visualizations (Power BI, Tableau).
Experience with communicating about data to a variety of audiences.
