Amazon Finance Manager, North America Operations FP&A in Dallas, Texas

Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to help lead North America FP&A activities for Amazon Operations – our rapidly expanding internal delivery operation, purpose-built to achieve and exceed the delivery quality and speed demands of Amazon customers.
A Finance Manager for North America FP&A will be a finance leader with ownership of HC Management, financial planning and weekly performance and outlook reviews. This individual will provide financial oversight, insightful analysis, resource management and decision support in this rapidly evolving space. The successful candidate will have excellent written communication, leadership, analytical and financial reporting skills. They will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across North America. The FM will contribute to a high visibility Operations FP&A team supporting the VP of Operations and VP of Finance and ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.
Key job responsibilities
Partner across Finance and Operations to drive continuous improvement in financial planning and operational performance
Manage and lead HC Management for a key Operations business line owning optimal resourcing strategy, planning and close processes
Gather, review, and communicate holistic systems and tools assessment which drive time-savings solutions
Provide support for dive deep analytical projects and executive reviews as needed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
