Overview:

The Field Manager is a marketing expert who will collaborate with Toyota dealers in Gulf States Toyota’s regional footprint to strengthen combined local marketing.

Our client, Gulf States Toyota (GST), is one of the world’s largest distributors of Toyota vehicles and parts, serving approximately 140 dealers in the five-state region of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Zenith’s T3 Partnership Team is a group in the field who partners with GST’s dealers and their agencies to strengthen combined local marketing performance.

Role Objectives:

The Field Manager is a trusted advisor to approximately 40 Toyota dealers on behalf of GST. They meet in-person with dealers to increase awareness and understanding of GST’s regional advertising plans and provide resources to help dealers succeed in their marketplace. Field Managers have a emphasis advertising and paid media, but an understanding of dealer marketing and an ability to collaborate are essential to success.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develops and delivers GST marketing updates to dealers via in-person meetings at their dealerships.

  • Creates strong, trusting relationships with the dealers and acts as a true partner as an extension of GST.

  • Builds a complete understanding of GST’s marketing and advertising strategies and communicates those programs to dealers in a way that provides value.

  • Partners with Zenith team and GST Marketing to analyze local market data and find insights relevant to business performance, as well as helps customize data visualization to be most effective for the dealers

  • Consults dealers and their agencies on ways they can complement GST’s marketing efforts to achieve joint goals.

  • Fosters strong working relationships with team members at both Zenith and Gulf States Toyota and participates in regular team meetings.

  • Delivers formal summaries of dealer meetings to GST and Zenith, including dealer feedback and highlighting opportunities or obstacles for future success.

  • Independently manages dealer visit schedules in a way that maximizes the efficiency of time spent in the field and travel costs.

  • Acts as a strong supporter of the overall T3 Partnership Team to ensure its success for GST.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in a marketing or sales role involving advertising, paid media or automotive dealer marketing

  • Industry experience in automotive or direct experience working with dealers is highly preferred

  • Experience working at or with a paid media or digital marketing agency is a plus, as is a strong working knowledge of digital media

  • 2-4 years of demonstrated success in a remote work environment and proven ability to self-motivate and go above and beyond

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to quickly build strong relationships and adapt to different audience styles

  • Proven ability to synthesize a variety of data to provide concise, compelling business recommendations

  • Required to travel 1-3x per week to meet in-person with dealers

  • Must reside in the GST region (TX, LA, OK, AR, MS)
