Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector experienced in water and wastewater related projects for our Dallas, TX office. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to work on Water projects that improve and enhance the local communities water supply. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • ​Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.

  • Coordinates required field sampling and testing with Contractor.

  • Under minimal direction, relies on experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Construction Project Manager

  • Responsible for setting own project deadlines.

  • Provides on the job training to new employees.

  • Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.

  • Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.

  • Tracks quality assurance progress.

  • Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.

  • Supports maintenance of redlines of the construction drawings that accurately reflect field conditions

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Valid US Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.

  • Experience with water and sewer conveyance and treatment projects preferred.

  • Familiarity with construction document management systems.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $140,000.00.
