Robert Half Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in Dallas, Texas

Description Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Create and maintain strategy for establishing a secure and well-managed enterprise environment in Azure. Architect, Implement and automate the deployment of IaaS and PaaS services in Azure. Develop and implement Azure automation and orchestration solutions using PowerShell/Azure CLI/Azure ARM/Azure Bicep and DevOps Pipelines (DevOps methodologies - Infrastructure as Code) Design and maintain Azure Front Door to provide global load balancing, SSL certificates via Azure Key Vaults, and DDoS protection for web applications. Configure and manage Azure App Services, including monitoring, scaling, and troubleshooting issues related to performance and availability. Configure and manage Azure Storage, including Blob, File, and Queue storage, to store and manage data at scale. Design and implement Azure governance and management solutions such as Azure Policy and Azure Blueprints. Develop and implement cloud security policies and best practices to ensure the security of the Azure environment, including the use of Azure Key Vaults for managing secrets and certificates. Configure and manage Azure Virtual Machines, including creating and managing VMs, optimizing VM performance, and configuring VM security and networking. Design and implement Azure Virtual Networks to securely connect Azure resources, including but not limited to implementing subnets, routing tables, network security groups, application security groups and virtual network peering. Design and implement Azure role-based access control (RBAC) to manage access to Azure resources, including creating custom roles and assigning permissions. Monitor and analyze Azure usage and performance metrics to optimize cloud resources and identify cost-saving opportunities. Configure and manage Azure AD B2B and B2C for external user access and customer identity management, respectively. Design, implement, and maintain multi-region architectures for Azure resources to enable high availability, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance. Work closely with database teams and development teams to develop and implement a migration plan to move SQL Server on Virtual Machines (IaaS) databases to Azure SQL. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues within the Azure environment. Develop and maintain documentation for Azure infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Serve as escalation point for tier 1 Support Engineering and other Technology Engineering teams. Requirements Educational and Skills Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Security Engineer Associate are strongly preferred. (AZ-400, AZ-305, AZ-500) 10+ years of experience a permanent IT detail oriented 3+ years of experience designing and supporting Azure environments, including IaaS and PaaS Demonstrable experience deploying enterprise workloads to Azure via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Knowledge of at least one other cloud hosting solution in addition to Azure (e.g., Google, AWS) Experience with DataDog or other monitoring and analytics platforms for cloud infrastructure monitoring and performance optimization Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, Azure ARM, Azure Bicep, or other scripting languages Experience designing and supporting enterprise core services as well as cloud deployments of these services Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Enterprise software products and services Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery planning experience, a plus Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
