Burgess and Niple is looking for a
Civil Engineer/Project Managerto join our team in
Dallas, TXto work with engineers, project managers, and technical staff in the production of plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for municipal transportation and utility infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and design of municipal infrastructure projects. Typical projects will include water transmission mains, sanitary sewers.
- Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Actively lead and participate in project delivery to create an exemplary client experience.
- Serve as project manager and/or technical subject matter expert on projects with limited complexity and/or size and works on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of a large project.
- Assist with marketing, business development, proposal preparation, interviews, and presentations.
- Monitor performance indicators, budgets, schedules, and manage risk.
- Opportunities to train, coach, and mentor junior design staff in developing and delivering design projects. Support the engineering team by creating figures and construction plans for a variety of public transportation and utility Infrastructure projects
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited engineering program
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Texas required; or ability to register through reciprocity
- 5+ related to the delivery of municipal transportation, water/wastewater, and stormwater projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Civil 3D and/or MicroStation required
- Proven client management, and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
