Responsibilities
Dallas Medical Center is looking for aper diem,day shift(10 hour shift) Certified Operating Room/Surgical Tech who is empathetic and has good communication skills. We have a collaborative culture focused on positive outcomes, opportunities for professional growth and so much more. Our Certified Scrub Tech duties include, but are not limited to:
responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure
maintaining sterile field during case
providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures
able to work well under stressful and emergency situations
able to act quickly and accurately
proficient in the following surgical specialties: General Surgery, Urology, Eyes (cataracts), GYN, and Hand specialty
demonstrates skill in: basic spine procedures (Laminectomies) and complicated spinal fusion (including 360 fusions); Sports Medicine; complicated Ortho: Total Joints, Joint Revisions, ACL replacement, Rotator Cuff repairs, Revision Knee, Hip, Shoulder surgeries, and Total Ankle and Femur Replacements
demonstrate independent practice in the role of primary scrub technician and hold a current CST to be considered for Certified Scrub Tech III
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience:
Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Certification upon hire required and maintained for employment; OR, employment as a Surg Tech since 2009
expert in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties: General, Urology, Eye (cataracts), Gynecology, and Hand Specialty
demonstrates skill in: basic spine procedures (Laminectomies) and complicated spinal fusion (including 360 fusions); Sports Medicine; complicated Orthopedics Sports Medicine, Total Joints, and Joint Revisions, complicated ACL replacement and Rotator Cuff repairs, Revision Knee, Revision Hip, and Revision Shoulder surgeries, as well as Total Ankle replacements and Total Femur replacements
current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
greater than 1 year of experience
