WORK LOCATION : Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 DEPARTMENT : Electrophysiology (EP) Lab WORK HOURS : PRN Days Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 5:30 pm DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS : Our electrophysiology (EP) lab unit is currently looking for a Cardiovascular Special Procedures Technologist . Busy procedural area servicing community and hospital patients. Procedures performed are cardiac implants and EP studies/ablations. Electrophysiology (EP) lab also offers: 4 10 hr rotating shifts (0700-1730). No weekends or holidaysHERE’S WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Education : · Associate degree in Applied Science required or · Other – Completion of accredited program in radiologic or cardiovascular technology required or · High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology required. Experience : · 1-year radiologic technician experience w/out ARRT – CT required or · No experience w/ ARRT - CT Licenses and Certifications : · ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required or · RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist upon required or · RCES – Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist upon hire or · CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT upon hire and · BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and SKILLS: · Imaging Quality and Processing: · Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam. · Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations. · Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique. · Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
