Position Title: Business Analyst II

Location: Dallas, Texas

Position Responsibilities:

Support financial and business analytical needs by owning the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing scalable solutions for business metrics and financial analysis. Create ROI analysis for launches and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies based on operating costs by analyzing qualitative/quantitative business and financial data. Work closely with the business managers to drive down inefficient costs by finding opportunities through data to optimize the Seller enforcement experience. Translate basic business problem statements into analysis requirements. Work with internal customers to define best output based on expressed stakeholder needs. Work with team leadership to understand the customer needs and concerns as well as define solutions. Develop SQL queries and Tableau visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting. Consistently evaluate regular processes to implement efficiencies to reduce time spent and ensure adequate controls are in place to support future growth and sustainability. Review key business and financial metrics periodically to effectively measure the financial and operational performance of the business. Track down and identify sources of data, determine the validity of the data, and analyze the variance in the data between various systems and reports. Develop actionable and insightful analysis, high-quality presentations, and detailed reporting content to assist strategic planning and critical business activities. Write queries and output efficiently, and have in-depth knowledge of the data available in area of expertise. Pull the data needed with standard query syntax; periodically identify more advanced methods of query optimization. Convert data to make it analysis-ready. Develops tools and systems to provide critical financial information as well as key performance indicators and strategic direction of the company. Telecommuting is available.

40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $85,467/year to $130,100/year.

Basic Qualifications

Position Requirements:

A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Management Science, Statistics, Math, Accounting, Engineering, Analytics or a related field and 1 year of experience in job offered or in Business Intelligence Engineer, Business Analyst, Data Engineer, or related occupation. In the alternative, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Management Science, Statistics, Math, Accounting, Engineering, Analytics or a related field and 3 years of experience in job offered or in Business Intelligence Engineer, Business Analyst, Data Engineer, or related occupation. Experience must include: 1. 1 year of experience in defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights. 2. 1 year of experience in using data to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and analyze the root cause. 3. 1 year of experience in analyzing business processes and process improvement. 4. 1 year of experience researching, analyzing and summarizing data into impactful business cases using SQL, Excel and/or Access. 5. 1 year of experience using SQL, SAS, or other scripting languages to automate data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis. #0000
