Aston Carter Benefits Customer Service Representative in Dallas, Texas

Now hiring customer service focused candidates to provide support for pension and/or health and welfare plans and associated web-based applications. Must be within 1 hour of Richardson , TX - must be on site day 1 and then can be in office, hybrid , or remote!! Apply now for consideration !

Description:

  • The Role As a Benefit Customer Service Representative you will have the rewarding opportunity to help our client members through the enrollment process and when making updates to their health care and/or pension plans.

  • Customer service support by responding professionally to customer inquiries/issues received via phone, email or other communication devices and ensure that appropriate action is taken - about 40-70+ inbound calls per day

  • Research participant questions related to employee benefit plans; Provide technical support and assist customers in using web-based, employee self-service tools; Read and understand plan documents, amendments, online knowledge base tools and benefit administration systems while applying procedures and guidelines

  • Quickly build rapport and respond to customers in a compassionate manner by identifying and exceeding expectations by responding in a respectful, accurate, timely manner, consistently meeting commitments via phone, email and instant message

  • Ability to customize customer service approach to meet all types of member communication styles and personalities while maintaining professionalism, and diplomacy during difficult calls

  • Handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion in accordance with HIPAA and Data Privacy laws and company data security requirements

  • Skillfully translate health and welfare and pension terms, complex plan information and processes into simple explanations and instructions that customers can understand and act upon.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ year in a high volume call center, experience working remotely is a plus

  • Prior benefits and insurance experience a huge plus

  • Ability to quickly assess member concerns and formulate a response/resolution

  • Ability to work in a structured environment

  • High level attention to detail, multitasking, and ability to organize work

  • Experience utilizing computer software including Microsoft Office

  • Ability to type 30 words per minute

  • High School Degree

  • Bilingual Spanish or French a plus

Hours:

  • Must be open 7am – 7pm CT M-F
