Element Materials Technology Materials Test Technician (2nd shift) in Daleville, Indiana
Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Materials Test Technician (2nd shift) to join our growing team. In this role, you will conduct a wide range of mechanical testing of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Provide technical assistance to customers and co-workers, with focus on quality, standardization, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical testing and speciman conditioning (HT) in accordance with company goals, quality system, and test procedures / methods
Use calibrated hand tools such as micrometer, caliper, compass, and ruler to take measurements and record them into the test records
Provide technical support for quotation and pricing
Review Mechanical test results for accuracy, completeness, and consistency to specification requirements
Skills / Qualifications
Associates degree in the Mechanical or similar field preferred
Experience in Materials testing, interpreting testing procedures and customer requirements is a plus
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
