What will you do
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the on-site installation, servicing, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Your main duties will include:
Responsibilities and tasks include:
Conducting on-site installations of complex equipment, ensuring proper working order through testing procedures.
Performing scheduled planned maintenance visits to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Providing support to customers and other field service personnel in resolving technical issues and conducting necessary repairs.
Cultivating positive relationships with customers, system users, and company personnel.
Traveling, sometimes on short notice, to customer sites to address problems or support field service personnel.
Completing and submitting field service reports.
Delivering training to customers and users on system maintenance.
Providing feedback to product quality teams.
Contributing to the development of various reports, including the identification and isolation of unique system problems.
Acting as a subject expert and resource for training.
Education
To thrive in this role, you typically need a university degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience in electronic system problem solving.
Experience
Previous experience in maintaining and servicing ultra-high vacuum and high voltage systems would be helpful in this position.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
To excel in this role, you should possess the following:
Ability to effectively deal with customers and provide exceptional service.
Fluency in both Korean and English languages.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Proven capability in efficiently addressing challenges within complex systems and subsystems, with a focus on component-level problem-solving.
Proficiency in MS DOS and Windows software environments.
Ability to read and interpret schematics.
