JOB SUMMARY

The Systems Engineer I (MS Technologies) is responsible for administration, monitoring and supporting all aspects of the Windows infrastructure including, hardware, server resources, systems and key processes. The Systems Engineer I (MS Technologies) is responsible for troubleshooting, being able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and communicate with a variety of teams and users. The Systems Engineer I (MS Technologies) will assist in monitoring performance and maintaining systems according to requirements. The Systems Engineer I (MS Technologies) will work on tickets assigned to the group and help document processes and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Systems Engineering - Monitors, troubleshoots, implements and supports infrastructure and endpoint technologies.

  • Assist the team with deployment, operations, and maintenance of infrastructure and endpoint technologies
  • Review existing technologies for vendor support and end-of-life information
  • Develop and maintain documentation of the Microsoft Systems environment

Technical Support - Ability to understand internal/external customer technologies and problem resolution techniques.

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of routine techniques, skills, equipment, and procedures
  • Apply knowledge to identify, and proactively respond to low complexity system problems
  • Troubleshoot and correct low complexity problems that affect operation of the environment
  • Work to develop additional technical knowledge and skill

SUPPLEMENTAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills
  • Assist personnel in other RTS departments to resolve technical and/or application issues
  • Embrace and foster the RTS culture consistently modeling our values and norms
  • Other duties as requested
