About Us: The Belvedere Grand is a charming lakeside Venue, Restaurant, and Bed & Breakfast located on the shores of Big Manistee Lake in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our on-site restaurant is renowned for its exceptional cuisine and high standards of service. We are looking for a dedicated and efficient Prep Cook to join our culinary team and support our kitchen operations.

Job Summary: The Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and assisting the culinary team in creating delicious dishes. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about food and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and instructions.
• Assist with basic cooking tasks, such as grilling, frying, and baking.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient kitchen

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
