It will allow us to do the things we love in ways never before possible — all while staying connected to the people around us. The Vision Products Group (VPG) is looking for a System UI Engineer to help us push the limits of the next generation of interactive experiences on our platform. This team is working with some of Apple’s most advanced technologies including spatial computing, ARKit, and RealityKit to create system experiences such as Control Center, Mac Virtual Display, Notifications, and other ground-breaking visionOS experiences.

Key Qualifications

  • Track record for building complex applications that are functional and delightful.

  • Proficient in C, Objective-C, or Swift.

  • Familiarity with SwiftUI and/or UIKit.

  • Attention to detail, creativity and passion.

  • Understanding of asynchronous programming or networking frameworks.

Description

You will work on the applications and system behaviors that define the overall experience of our platforms; ultimately impacting the way our customers use our products. Work closely with Apple's UI framework, Human Interface designers and application teams - pushing you to think outside-the-box, and solve incredibly challenging and interesting problems in spatial computing. You will work with technologies such as ARKit, RealityKit, and SwiftUI to build experiences for the newly announced Apple Vision Pro. You will have access to a wide variety of internal frameworks and services that will allow you to create applications that are deeply integrated into our operating systems. We are looking for candidates who are able to work closely with our partner design and engineering teams builds the next generation of visionOS features, explore the capabilities of Apple’s device ecosystem, and excited to push the boundaries of spatial computing. Primary responsibilities include leveraging Objective-C and Swift frameworks, crafting UI applications via SwiftUI, leveraging Network framework for cross-device communications, and working closely with our design team to implement custom-facing experiences.

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science or Equivalent and at least 3 years of experience

Additional Requirements

    • 3D mathematics is a plus
**Pay & Benefits**

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
