Here, you’ll do more than join something — you’ll add something. The Sensor Software and Prototyping team develops core technologies to enable magical user experiences across the Apple ecosystem. We are looking for an engineering program manager that is passionate about working with world class engineering teams to build differentiated sensing technologies. This role requires first-hand technical experience combined with a deep understanding of how embedded firmware, software, algorithms and quality engineering come together to make features come to life.

Description

The Sensor Software and Prototyping team is seeking an Engineering Program Manager with a proven track record of enabling large cross-functional teams to deliver complex features and products. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and have exceptional leadership skills built on a solid foundation of planning and risk management. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Partnering with engineering teams to turn user requirements into technical requirements and specifications Holding multi-disciplinary engineering teams accountable to deliver on zero-margin schedules Effectively communicate complex technical challenges in order to drive decisions at the working team through executive level

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on firmware and/or software development experience

  • Technical or engineering program management experience

  • Track record of managing products through the entire product development life cycle from concept through mass production

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse teams and interact, influence, collaborate, and negotiate effectively at all levels of management

  • Knowledgeable in one or more areas: embedded software, sensor systems, machine learning, camera and/or AR/VR technologies

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $56.65 and $85.52/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
