Apple is looking for an Financial Analyst with high analytical capacity, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills to join the WW Retail Finance - Commercial Programs team, which supports Apple Retail’s growth initiatives for both physical stores and online. The position requires the ability to complete complex financial and performance analyses, work cross-functionally across Apple and local teams in region, develop and execute business strategies, and recommend and present business updates to executive leaders. The ideal candidate is able to balance financial, brand, and customer considerations.

Description

Retail’s commercial programs include consumer financing, ownership and upgrade programs, Apple Trade In, small-medium businesses, phone carrier programs and offers, Apple Card initiatives, and more. These critical sales levers are key to Retail’s continued growth and customer affinity. In this fast-paced, high exposure global role on the Worldwide team, you will interact regularly with Retail and Apple leadership, providing decision support on go-to-market strategy, program roadmap, promotions and associated marketing activities. Key business partners include: Retail Commercial Development, Product Marketing, Apple Financial Services, WW Sales Finance, and Retail’s GEO Finance/business teams. Key responsibilities include: - Partner with finance and non-finance teams to define business strategies for new and existing - sales programs and promotions - Work across a range of teams to develop business cases that capture expected financial impacts of new initiatives across key KPIs of units, revenue and margin - Analyze performance of various initiatives and provide regular leadership updates and recommendations - Work across Retail and non-Retail finance teams to ensure alignment on financial design for new programs and initiatives - Identify program cost savings or efficiency opportunities to optimize financials - Own program financial forecasts and partner with accounting teams on quarter-end activities - Evolve data and tool capabilities to streamline work and elevate quality of insights

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant work experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics or other related field

  • 7-8+ years of dynamic finance experience in a fast-paced, high pressure environment

  • Independent, self-motivated and exhibits the highest standards of accuracy and organization skills

  • Ability to perform quantitative and financial analyses; able to work comfortably with incomplete information while dealing with ambiguity

  • Strong intuition for business and high intellectual curiosity, with interest in Apple’s products, services, technology, business, and strategy

  • Must be able to think strategically on critical business issues, while simultaneously possessing the ability to act tactically to complete them

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; experienced at presenting effectively to executives

  • Passion for automating and improving processes, and drive to adopt latest technology tools at our disposal

  • Comfortable applying general accounting principles

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,900 and $201,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
