TEKsystems Program Manager - Recycling Operations & Material Recovery in Cupertino, California
TEKsystems is searching for an experienced program manager with expertise in recycling operations and materials recover for a long-term contract position with our client based in California.
Role Description:
This person will research and develop improvements to current metals recovery solutions in the recycling space. This person will leverage cross-functional partnerships to understand the electronics recycling process and assess opportunities to improve recovery rates for metals such as Steel, Aluminum, Copper and other base metals. There will be many opportunities to understand through research, literature review, data modeling of recovery operations and immersion with expertise from our recycling team.
Key Tasks:
Vendor management and technical clarifications about projects in the material recycling space
Literature reviews of metals and other heavy industries
Coordinating research and analytical trials with multiple vendors and stakeholders
Maintaining and updating project schedules and budgets for small projects
Experience in processes from mining or metal production, from extractive metallurgy to recycling.
Experience in recycling technologies
Technical on-site experience in plants or production facilities, regardless of industry
Skills & Qualifications:
Background in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science or Environmental Engineering
Experience with building simplified process flow diagrams
Experience building mass and energy balances tracking the flow of elements across multiple unit operations
Experience with process simulation or process modeling of chemical processes
Proficient in using Excel to build custom models and mass and energy balances
Analytical thinker with great problem solving skills
Written and verbal interpersonal kills
