We’re looking for a power and performance test automation and characterization engineer to help build the infrastructure for power and performance measurement.
Key Qualifications
Experience with power and performance testing and characterization, embedded device experience preferred
Strong communication skills; great work ethic and teamwork
Experience designing and delivering tools to automate testing or data analysis workflows
Experience with front-facing GUI design
Experience with RDBMS database design and implementation (PostgreSQL preferred)
Strong statistical data analysis skills
Strong in Python, Bash/Zsh, SQL
Comfortable with C, C++ Strong troubleshooting skills
Computer architecture knowledge is a plus, embedded hardware in particular
Description
The ideal candidate will have strong passion to work with an engineering team to deliver high-quality products and solve challenging technical real-world problems. You'll help define and develop automation pipelines, data analysis tools, and data visualization tools to characterize hardware and software to support a variety of teams within Apple. Your characterization and data-driven analysis will help guide power and performance optimization: you'll work directly with power and performance teams, HW design teams and others in Cupertino and other locations to optimize, define, and implement developing new technology.
Education & Experience
BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
