Job Description

A leading engineering firm is looking for a Joint Use Expert to join their team on a permanent basis. The team works closely with various pole owners to ensure seamless integration of fiber infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the permit application processes for various pole owners and be able to navigate these processes efficiently from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

 - Permit Processing: Handle permit applications for pole owners such as Oncore, Duke Energy, Win Energy, AEP, Xcel Energy, Core, and ATT.

 - Process Navigation: Understand and manage the unique application processes for each pole owner, including email submissions, portal entries, and specific requirements.

 - Communication: Engage with pole owners to identify and gather necessary information for permit applications.

 - Data Management: Process and manage data collected to ensure accurate and timely permit approvals.

 - Problem Solving: Quickly find answers and resolve issues by contacting pole owners and other relevant parties.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all permit applications and communications.

Skills and Requirements

  • Proven experience in processing pole permits for fiber engineering or a related field.

     - Familiarity with the processes of Oncore, Duke Energy, Win Energy, AEP, Xcel Energy, Core, and/or ATT.

     - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable engaging in conversations with pole owners and other stakeholders.

     - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously.

     - Ability to quickly find solutions and navigate different permit processes.

Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using various portals and tools such as Katapult, QGIS/ArcGIS, Ocalc, Spidacalc, etc. null
