Pixelogic Media Partners, LLC Theatrical Mastering & Screening Operations Specialist - Implant in Culver City, California

Compensation: $75-85K.

Seeking Theatrical Mastering & Screening Operations Specialist to oversee the master creation, distribution, and exhibition of all Apple TV+ content presented in a theatrical setting. This includes, but is not limited to Premieres, Festivals, Publicity, Marketing, Guild or Press screenings and Theatrical releases.

The Theatrical Mastering & Screening Operations Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the following:

· Oversee Theatrical QC evaluations for Picture / Audio, review rejections, and supervise mastering of Theatrical Distribution DCPs and Screening assets for OV, Localized and Censor Versions

· Identify and determine stakeholder needs for screening asset orders and oversee movement, creation, and quality control / assurance of final distribution elements

· Oversee logistics of screening asset distribution delivery, working directly with vendors, theaters, and internal stakeholders across domestic and international

· Monitor progress and all milestone and partner due dates, update schedules, and issue effective communication if project is at risk

· Provide on-site technical advisement for high profile screenings, with ability to diagnose and troubleshoot in real time and under pressure

· Vet and advise on screening venues, technical equipment, and exhibition standards to ensure content is exhibited in highest technical and creative standards

· Foster collaborative relationships and liaise with Post Production, Publicity, Marketing and Security teams to coordinate screening logistics

· Provide and maintain detailed documentation and tracking of screening asset creation, delivery, preservation, and inventory upkeep

Requirements

Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Mastering / Re-mastering / Distribution Project Management at Studio, Television, or Mastering facility.

We are looking for someone with advanced qualifications in the following areas:

· Strong knowledge and understanding of Feature, Television, and Theatrical workflows

· Background in Color Science, Digital Cinema, Theatrical specifications, and formats

· Extensive technical experience in DCP creation, 35 / 70mm workflows, Image / Audio QC, Distribution, and KDM Management workflows

· Working knowledge of picture / audio containers, codecs, file formats, accessibility / Localization assets, and finishing formats including Dolby Vision / ATMOS / IMAX / HFR

· Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail, with ability to retain context within overall ‘big picture’

· Poise in managing multiple expectations and shifting priorities in fast-paced environment under pressure

· Ability to multi-task, understand how to prioritize, and have clear and effective communication skills

· Skilled in troubleshooting and providing creative solutions in a timely manner

· Discretion with high profile projects, with an understanding of content security protocols and best practices

· Have experience working with Filmmakers and Post Production teams

· Flexibility to respond during off hours for urgent matters

· Must be collaborative, organized, respectful and a team player

Education:

College education preferred, plus 3+ years’ experience Mastering / Re-mastering / Distribution Project Management at Studio, Television, or Mastering facility
