The Amazon Music HR team is looking for a Sr. HR Business Partner (HRBP) who is ready to go deep on the business of entertainment, working in lockstep with our biggest leaders to build an organization that scales and invents with employees that live and breathe audio, film and television. The Sr. HRBP in this role will coach clients at all levels, design and deliver talent solutions to business problems, and advise executive leaders on business and organizational design strategies.

To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work. You’ll help business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve speed of execution, employee engagement, and talent development. As the leader responsible for key HR functions, you will drive how we adapt our processes and philosophies to enable Amazon to attract, grow, and retain talent in our creative, industry-specific, business development, and customer acquisition functions. Nothing in the employee experience is off limits! You will drive strategic initiatives related to onboarding, talent management, organizational culture, diversity and inclusion, and other opportunities that you uncover. This HRBP will partner with Executives (L8+) across multiple organizations and global sites with the support of an HR Partner Team who will provide programmatic and ad hoc HR support to L4-7 managers. Travel for this role will include trips to Seattle and Los Angeles at a minimum. It is likely that there will be additional global travel with the role.

Key job responsibilities

The is both a strategic and hands on role including improving organizational effectiveness & design, leading change management, providing leadership coaching and driving HR functional excellence. Successful candidates will also demonstrate:

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant Human Resources experience

• Experience working across a global organization and with multi-territory support.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Human Resources or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Entertainment or Creative industries.

• Experience in working in a highly matrixed organization

• Project management and execution skills

• Thrives in a high-pressure environment and able to manage multiple simultaneous priorities

• Able to build trust with managers thanks to strong expertise and judgement

• Possesses intellectual curiosity; brings insight into the team & business

• Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking and analysis.

• Strong use of Excel and other analytical skills

• Strong communication skills

• Coaching and consulting skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $193,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
