Description
The scope of this role is broad and its impact on the Apple TV+ service highly visible. You will strategically drive the positioning and representation of our Apple Originals to optimize both audience engagement and authentic presentation of the work of the best storytellers in the world. Reporting to you will be strategic editorial teams as well as copy writers who you will guide to extract the title hooks and convey the storyline high stakes effectively to subscribers. You will be responsible for creating the cohesive launch plans and customer positioning for every series and film on the service. You will own the TV+ programming and merchandising strategy across all instances of Apple TV+, including the TV App, Amazon Prime Channel, 3rd party distribution partners, airlines, etc. Your team of programmers will work cross functionally to pull together holistic plans with the core focus of driving maximum engagement to the singular title and to the service overall. Every show and movie we shepherd alongside these artists is informed by their deep passion and unique perspective. Your core responsibility will be to make sure that we are drawing as large an audience as possible for each in the way we present and position it while focusing on defining and refining what makes the Apple TV+ service the very best in the market. You will make data driven decisions to update plans and approaches to drive viewership and cross viewing engagement. This effort will require deep collaboration across many inspired, expert Apple teams, to execute flawless launches across a multitude of avenues - from the Apple TV app platform to email, social, and more - to communicate our one-of-a-kind our service and its premium, original content to our customers. A dogged attention to detail, style, and the art we serve is essential.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in video streaming, subscriber 15+ years experience in video programming strategy, editorial and merchandising.
An industry leader in their field, an expert in managing the front end of D2C service focused on driving audience engagement
Proven track record creating successful launch programs for series and movies on digital streaming platforms
Bachelor’s degree required

An incredibly able communicator who can be brief and succinct yet is capable to go deep when needed
Analytical and creative thinker who is data-driven, flexible, able to pivot quickly, and understands the nature of a fast-evolving, high-profile business
A deep passion for and prolific understanding of content across platforms and services
Solid understanding of growth and funnel drivers required for a successful subscription business
Strong experience with and commitment to cross-functional collaboration; interpersonally savvy
A leader of teams with a track record and passion in developing people and creating culture
Proficiency with a variety of creative tools and familiarity with creative process
Ability to work independently, leading through influence toward alignment in a highly matrix organization
Ability to think strategically on critical business needs, and to simultaneously act tactically, and tactfully, to complete them
Demonstrable commitment to fighting for excellence in customer experience through inter organizational complexity and ambiguity
Proven track record of cultivating innovation collaboratively, both day-to-day and broadly across product development cycles
Ability to lead by example and be able to get into details of day-to-day show and movie positioning while minding service-level positioning efforts to drive audience engagement

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $242,300 and $388,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
