Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Culver City, California

Description

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the accounts receivable process, utilizing NetSuite software to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely collection of outstanding payments. This position requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in NetSuite, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in accounts receivable and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize NetSuite software to manage and maintain accounts receivable records, including invoicing, billing, and collections.

  • Generate and send out invoices to customers accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to facilitate timely payment.

  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies or billing issues promptly.

  • Process credit memos, refunds, and adjustments as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to address customer inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.

  • Prepare and distribute customer statements and reports to provide visibility into outstanding balances.

  • Assist with month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and reporting as required.

  • Stay informed about NetSuite updates and enhancements related to accounts receivable functionality.

  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness in accounts receivable processes.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related finance role.

  • Proficiency in NetSuite software is required.

  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable principles, practices, and procedures.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Experience with customer service and collections is a plus.
