Actalent Mechanical Design Engineer in Cullman, Alabama
Our client is currently accepting applications to fill the position of a Mechanical Design Engineer at its Cullman, Alabama facility.

Description:
Interacts with the development, programmer, and manufacturing engineer to develop CAD models and engineering drawings to support the production of prototypes, final design, manufacturing, and quality specifications.
Responsible for the creation of 3D computer aided design (CAD) software models and detailed drawings for development of products.
Assists engineers with hands-on troubleshooting efforts from production, prototypes, and processes.
Assists engineers with testing, process development/ process modifications and engineering documentation.
Develops layouts, engineering drawings, detailed drawings and assembly drawings.
Takes project from concept to production release.
Performs maintenance of CAD files in response to engineering changes.
Interfaces with other engineers to verify that data pertaining to product specification is documented accurately.
Verifies that the appropriate linkages are established in the Product Data Management system when creating/modifying models and drawings.
Prepares bill of materials for product implementation into production.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience and Education:
-Must have a bachelors degree*
-Performs work under direct supervision.
-Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
-Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
-Typically requires accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 0 to 2 years of experience.
