We are seeking an ambitious, experienced Machine Operator- PEX for our manufacturing operations located in Cullman, Alabama.

The PEX Operator Trainee will:

• Work with hand tools and power tools and physically remove and install hot extrusion tools weighing in excess of 50lbs.
• Adjust and size processing parameters.
• Observe and record all blends of materials and maintain levels in material hoppers.
• Responsible for maintaining articles within set parameters of production and optimizing all processes.
• Troubleshoot all process problems and work in all areas of PEX Production.

Quality

• Ensure product and processes meet the standards relating to quality and STAKA.
• Ensure that process and product deviations from specification are documented and reported.
• Perform tasks according to inspection, handling, packing, gauging instructions.

Skills/Experience

• Ability to analyze problems involving production, to execute activities to achieve department objectives, and consistently identify opportunities for improvement and notify proper people
• Good communicator, able to multi-task, detail-oriented, and able to direct and complete tasks reliably
• Well-organized, self-driven, willing to work hard, comfortable in a team environment
• Must be able to work 12 hours shifts.
• Must be able to work night shift.

The base salary range for this position is $18.50-$24+. A candidates final salary offer will be based on his or her skills, education, experience and geographic location.
