Reports to: Plant Superintendent/Manager
Summary: Provides physical labor as part of a crew or independently to complete project related tasks.
Essential Functions:
• Ensure that all Nicholson and OSHA safety regulations are followed and enforced; responsible for safety on site.
• Ensure that all Nicholson quality standards are met as they apply to equipment.
• Attend safety meetings and provide input as needed.
• Work and communicate with other team members to accomplish the tasks given.
• Performs a variety of tasks as needed by the plant and yard in fulfilling the equipment, tooling, and supplies related needs of NCC.
• Eg. Pressure washing equipment, cleaning equipment, painting equipment, organizing supplies, shop and all other related tasks.
Education & Training:
• High School Diploma or GED
• OSHA 10-hour Training Course
• First Aid/CPR
Experience:
• Minimum 1yr of construction, rigging, or related experience
Knowledge and Abilities:
• Ability to work as part of a crew
• Ability to take direction but also to work independently
• Mechanically inclined candidate preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Reaching high and low, stooping, and bending continually
• Lifting/carrying/moving up to 100 pounds continually
• Able to travel per the company travel policy
• Able to concentrate at a high degree in a busy and noisy construction environment
• Able to work in all types of weather
Mental Requirements:
• Converse effectively using both verbal and written communication.
