Responsibilities
SCO Role Players will support five to six Security Cooperation Organization/Officer (SCO) Operational Capstone iterations annually.
Role players must be available for only certain days/times of the Operational Capstone course.
Each Role Player will play a specific role found in the U.S. Embassy to prepare and train DSCU students with real-life
exercises.
Must be able to obtain a Secret Security clearance.
What You'll Do:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, serving in the capacity of Role player for DSI and supporting the organizational goals through effective instruction for the Security Cooperation Organization/Officer (SCO) Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides support in preparing military officers, enlisted personnel, and DoD civilians to serve within SC Organizations in demanding, inter-agency, and international environments and to execute SC programs and processes that support all DoD interactions with foreign defense establishments.
Must have relateable SC experience and be able to teach students who have or will be serving in overseas SCO billets.
Must be able to relay theories, principles, best practices, tactics, techniques, and procedures related to serving within SCOs or Country Teams abroad.
Should possess knowledge and experience with the following topics: SCO Operations; SC Planning; FMS CASE Management; and International Training Management.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications:
Bachler Degree from an accredited institution (or higher degree).
Experience:
Chief of Defense: Skilled. Provide Partner Nation Chief of Defense (CHOD) role player with a minimum of two years of experience working with partner nation military senior leadership. The CHOD must be available for five days of the Operational Capstone.
SDO/DATT: Expert Role Player. Has at least two years' experience as SDO/DATT and must be available for three days of the Operational Capstone.
Ambassador: Expert Role Player. Must be a former U.S. Ambassador and be available for three days of the Operational Capstone.
Office Management Specialist: Unskilled. Must be available for three days of the Operational
Staff Officer x 2: Unskilled. Must be available for three days of the Operational Capstone.
Gate Guard x 2: Unskilled. Must be available for three days of the Operational Capstone.
Industry Representative: Skilled with international direct commercial sales (DCS) experience or former SCO who worked with industry representatives conducting DCS. Must be available for three days of the Operational Capstone.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.

Effective communication skills with an appreciation for the appropriate ways to interact with managers, coworkers, and customers.
