The Janitor position is important for the cleanliness and good operation of the facility. The janitor is responsible for maintaining a cleanly facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties
Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls
Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones
Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed
Maintain outdoor grounds, cut grass and trim bushes
Remove debris and snow from sidewalks
Empty trash and recycling bins
Help with occasional odd jobs or maintenance
Qualifications and Skills
Good communication skills
Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them
Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces
Good organization skills
Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners
Excellent time-management skills

Working Conditions
Fast paced, great variety of work with constant deadlines. Industrial environment with occasional dust, noise, etc. with protective equipment needed occasionally. Job may require lifting up to 50 lbs. Must have reliable transportation. Be willing and able to work overtime up to 15%. Able to work in an environment not air conditioned in summers.
