HealthFitness Membership Manager in Crosby, Minnesota

HealthFitness has an exciting opportunity for a Membership Manager at our Hallett Center in Crosby, MN. This facility not only offers your traditional fitness and aquatics programming it also has a 25K sq ft ice rink home to the Northern Lake Lightning. This position is responsible for the supervision of membership and guest pass sales, program registration, and facility management. This individual will manage all membership transfers, upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, and refunds for Member Services. You will be responsible for deposits, outstanding debt collection, and financial reporting. In addition, the Membership Manager provides management assistance to the Aquatic and Fitness teams as well as managing front desk staff.

What you will be doing:

Manages bi-monthly credit card billing for membership accounts.

Communicates to members with outstanding debt for membership fee collection and credit card number updates.

Responsible for membership access. suspension for non-paying accounts.

Manage all of our social media sites along with updating website. Also responsible for sending out our monthly newsletter to our members.

Assist program manager, ice rink manager, and general manager in daily needs.

This position is the point of contact person for the members. Must be willing to assist guests at any time.

Processes all membership change and cancellation transactions.

Maintains accurate financial records for quarterly and annual reporting.

Oversees daily, weekly, and monthly email communications in regard to membership expirations, locker rental reminders, balances on account, and new member welcome messaging.

Develops the monthly personnel schedule and identifies staffing needs with Fitness and Aquatics.

Oversees the daily membership deactivation process and annual audit for all membership types. · Supervises the locker rental including allocation, notifications, clean-out, and storage fee collection. · Submits facility work orders and communicates cleanliness needs directly with the Department of Facilities and custodial staff throughout the year.

Notifies the members of the annual facility maintenance shutdown each spring.

Participates in the annual development of departmental strategies and goals.

Actively contributes to the completion and reporting of Member Services team goals. ·

Serves as the Point-Of-Contact (POC) for A/W while on duty.

Completes facility rounds each workday in order to ensure a safe and secure facility. Oversees front desk staff while serving as POC, provides employee breaks as necessary.

Serves on the Recreation Health and Safety Committee.

Other duties as needed/assigned.

What you will bring with you:

Bachelor’s degree in recreation, hospitality, business, or a related field or the equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience.

OSHA compliant (not online) Adult CPR/AED/First Aid from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, National Safety Council, or American Safety & Health Institute required within 90 days of hire.

Strong attention to detail, organized, and ability to deliver quality customer service.

Ability to multi-task as well as work quickly and accurately.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills including the ability to develop effective business relationships.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferably e xperience with recreation member management software.

Experience with providing leadership and supervision to a diverse team of employees.

Ability to work occasional mornings, nights and weekends.

Compensation: $22-$25 per hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications. Comprehensive benefit package.
