POSITION: Behavioral Wellness Clinic (BWC) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time (FT)

WORK SCHEDULE:Possibility of working four (4) - ten (10) hour weekdays
WORK LOCATION: Primary location is Crestview (CV) and will travel to Fort Walton Beach (FWB), group homes, and schools is required as needed

WAGE:The wage for this position with $18.00 per hour.

Eligible to receive a wage increase to* $19.00 per hour upon successfully completing six (6) months of employment.

[**[POSITION SUMMARY:[Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) is seeking applicants for the Behavioral Wellness Clinic (BWC) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). [ [[The BWC CMA provides hands-on care to patients (pediatric and adult) with varying degrees of mental illnesses and/or developmental disabilities. They perform a vital, front-line function as they observe, treat, and interact with patients. They carry out the Prescribers' orders and coordinate care and services as needed. They report back on how the treatment is working or any unusual symptoms that need professional attention.

[[The BCI BWC CMA will take part in both the planning and implementing of patient Treatment Plans. Tasks will include interviewing patients, assisting patients with questions about their medications, make referrals to other internal BCI departments, assist Prescribers with daily tasks, and gather information to assist the Prescriber.

[[New associates receive training, mentoring, and coaching throughout the on-boarding process. This is a weekday position with no evenings, holiday, or weekend work.

[MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:[[Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Specific experience in psychiatric treatment is preferred. Must have or be eligible to receive the HIV/AIDS 501 certification within one (1) year of employment. Candidate must be trained and authorized to administer injections to clients. Bilingual (Spanish and English) applicants are preferred, but not required.** The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential. Must have strong communication skills and be able to provide excellent customer service.

Applicant must be able to pass an Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) Medicaid and Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Level II background check, drug screen, and a Tuberculosis (TB) test. Applicant must be at least twenty-one (21) years old and have a valid Florida Driver's License with no more than three (3) points on their driving record to be insured under BCI's automobile insurance policy.
