Located in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado, Crested Butte is referred to as the "Wildflower Capital of Colorado", and is known as the "last great Colorado ski town". Downhill ski and mountain-bike trails crisscross the slopes of Crested Butte Mountain Resort, and the surrounding area is vast in its access to the Gunnison National Forest. While considered a rural area, shops and restaurants in wooden buildings line downtown's Elk Avenue, appealing to the historic yet modern charm of this old mining town.
The ideal candidate:
-Has thorough experience in excavator operation. -Maintains General knowledge of day-to-day construction operations -Has the ability to read and understand grade stakes -Has the ability to measure, mark and record areas where work is to be performed and has been completed -Has the ability to lift, pull, push up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Ability to utilize site sanitary facilities -Can work in various weather and job location conditions -Has the ability to occasionally work irregular hours and weekends
Qualifications:
3+ years' experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically as an excavator operator Driver's License Experience and knowledge in water and sewer utilities
Crested Butte, CO is approximately 8,800' above sea-level; the winters can be harsh and cold. This position will require periodic exposure to cold temperatures, candidates are expected to be prepared and dressed appropriately for conditions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
Schedule:
10 hour shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
