Description
SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician IV to support the U.S. Navy in Crane, IN .
JOB DESCRIPTION
Workload supports AEA division Electro-Mechanical repair and Machining support for multiple DoD Systems across all NSWC Divisions.
Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data.
Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of electro mechanical systems.
Prepare inputs for test plans/Review test plans and procedures
Conduct or monitor system, subsystem, equipment or component testing
Analyze test results/determine valid recommendations and conclusions based on test data.
Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts; develop information concerning previous operational failures and modifications and use judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Associate's Degree and at least 4 years of related experience or High School Diploma and 6 years of related experience
Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; Interim Secret needed to start
Must be U.S. citizen
Must be able to work from schematics and engineering drawings
DESIRED
- Soldering experience preferred, but not required
