SAIC Engineering Technician II in CRANE, Indiana
Description
SAIC is seeking an Engineer Technician II to support the US Navy in Crane, IN .
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Assist with set up, operating, and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment.
Conduct, compile, and interpret results of chemical and physical experiments.
Assist chemists and chemical engineers with testing, sampling, and analyses for a variety of research and development tasks.
Types of testing will be conducted using Microscopy, Thermal Analysis, and Chromatography.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
Associate degree in related discipline and one-year related experience; Or, High School and two (2) years of related experience with relevant certification.
Candidate should have experience working with basic computer programs.
Candidate should have experience working in a lab.
Must agree to participate in a random drug screen program.
Must meet requirements for explosive certification program.
Candidate must be able to possess a Secret clearance.
US Citizenship required.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Previous experience in general lab hygiene and techniques.
Work well with team and independently.
General lab functions, inventory, cleanliness etc.
Ability to train further working with senior chemists/engineers.
