Westinghouse Engineering provides the technology solutions and services for design of new plants and keeping operating nuclear plants operating...safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.
Note, no relocation assistance is offered for this role. This role has a mobile work arrangement, requiring up to 3 days per week on-site.
Your Day-to-Day: Provides leadership oversight and manages all engineering scopes related to Risk Analysis / Risk Applications / Probabilistic Risk Assessment from all Business Units encompassing operating plants and new plant developments Develop and execute workload planning to determine resource assignments for all BU demands Coordinates and ensures engineering support and approved for all proposals with Risk/PRA scope for operating plants and new plant developments Leverages technical leads within group and with interfacing functional areas to ensure technical direction aligns with customer expectations and product strategies Serve as a management sponsor for industry groups around Risk/ PRA including but not limited to PWROG Ensure successful onboarding of new personnel and manage people development activities to ensure transfer and utilization of critical skills with the Risk Applications Discipline Technical Leader / Consulting Engineer and technical leader team Drives continuous improvement of products, processes, and/or procedures Sets day-to-day operational objectives for individuals or teams, ensures that policies and procedures are understood and followed Leverages knowledge of Westinghouse products as a differentiator to positively impact customer relationships
Who You Are: As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required Minimum 10 years of strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience required; proven leadership of engineering teams in challenging situations and frequent interactions with customers and internal stakeholders Ability to get "things done" within Westinghouse through extensive operational and organizational know-how. Possesses knowledge of the Gen II and GenIII+ plant design, operation, and work processes preferred Strong communication skills and an understanding of financial models Ability to organize and delegate work and ensure deliverables are completed on-time with high quality Experience in making presentations and conducting meetings with varying levels of leadership Willingness to travel to support direct team, customer and industry activities (10-20% travel)
This position is US-based with a preferred location in Cranberry, but is also open to locations in Spain.
