Indorama Ventures Hygiene - Covington & Athens sites are part of the hygiene – fibers vertical and applications for products include diapers, fem care products, geotextiles, and numerous other nonwoven products.
SUMMARY : Overall responsibility to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair or modify complex industrial electrical and electronic equipment and systems by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
Troubleshoot DC & AC Drives, DC & AC Motors, plc’s and control circuits
Read and understand drawings (P&ID’s, control diagrams, wiring diagrams and ladder logic)
Assist in the installation, calibration and start-up of new equipment.
Occasional new wiring installations where running conduit is required
Recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment where needed to improve operability.
Maintain working environment in a neat, orderly and safe manner.
Perform recordkeeping and administrative duties as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; plus three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
