Mountain Woodworks Cabinet Builder in Coudersport, Pennsylvania
This position is responsible for the daily operation of assembly or sub-assembly to form completed furniture products.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts list, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Required to assemble parts to form completed products.
- Required to use jigs, fixtures, clamps, and other fabricated units to assemble product.
- Operate router(s), drill(s), driver(s), sander(s),drill press, jointer, planer, band saw, and table saw.
- Prepare product for finishing or packing by sanding or cleaning and inspecting.
- Maintain hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, tape measure, chisels, etc.
- Maintain inventory of stocked parts and hardware.
- Follow simple assembly drawings and/or verbal instructions as provided by the supervisor and/or assistant.
- Must be able to read shop drawings.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Must be able to work with limited supervision.
- Must be able to work in a production environment that may be subject to varied temperatures and other conditions, such as noise, dust, paint/finish and glue or adhesives. Must be able to stand/walk and possess the ability to frequently bend and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Previous woodworking experience and/or vocational training is preferred.
- Commensurate wage with experience.
