Sick Leave\ Accumulates at the rate of one (1) hour for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum or 40 hours annually. The\ accrued hours may be carried over each year. This is considered a taxable\ benefit.\ Hours\ All part-time employees for the City of Cottonwood generally work under twenty (20) hours per week. Our parttime employees are required to follow the 20/20 rule with Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) which\ allows employees to work twenty (20) hours or more for nineteen (19) weeks of the fiscal year.\ Some designated part-time positions are approved to work over 20 hours per week consistently and these\ positions are enrolled in ASRS.
